Artist's Note:
'Swathe of Confusion' is a thought-provoking artwork representing barriers to happiness created by societal boundaries. This gallery wrap canvas features an obstructed face with eyes down, symbolising concealed emotions. The original photograph was a torn poster discovered in Odesa, Ukraine. Through experimental techniques, including digital photography and remaking, layers of meaning were infused into each piece. From the 'Crossing Boundaries' series, this artwork explores representation and abstraction, reflecting my journey of navigating two cultures.
